This project includes a 68,500 SF maintenance and fueling facility, new utility and street improvements, and two large on-site parking lots. The pre-engineered metal building system was designed and built to accommodate a future electric bus fleet which STA plans to phase in over the next several years.

This project was challenging due to existing contaminated soils which had to be mitigated prior to utility and structural installation. Another challenging factor was the the lack of on-site space. The new facility was built between existing overhead utilities which had to remain intact and operational. These utilities were as close as 10 feet from the face of building. A great deal of coordination with local authorities and utility purveyors was necessary to ensure safety and project success. The project was finished ahead of schedule and within budget.
