This 2-season project constructed a new bridge on Idaho State Highway 41 spanning BNSF RR lines, and split longitudinally on the Washington/Idaho state line. The project included demolition of a 173-foot long, three-span existing concrete bridge and construction of a new 237-ft long three-span steel plate girder bridge. The bridge was demolished and constructed in two stages longitudinally to maintain constant vehicle traffic. Work also included reconstruction of the approaches with structural earth walls, HMA paving, sidewalks, and driveway accesses.
