Garco Construction was selected by City of Spokane Wastewater Management to construct two egg-shaped digesters at the Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility. The completed work provides the City of Spokane with a new Egg-Shaped Digester Facility. The work included the demolition of the existing boiler/cogeneration facility and construction of two 2.8 million gallon steel egg-shaped digesters with an integrated 18,500 SF digestion process facility. The facility includes bio-solids process mixing systems, recirculation and heating systems, transfer systems, digester gas and foam collection systems, and a stormwater and process overflow pump station. The facility also includes extensive building ventilation and heating systems, as well as associated process and facility electrical, instrumentation, and control.
