This expansive design-bid-build U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project included demolition, asbestos abatement, new construction, and associated site work on five separate multi-level buildings located on three different sites as part of the U.S. Army’s 110th Chemical Battalion Headquarters Complex at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. The project required construction of a 45,000 SF tactical equipment maintenance facility with a 15-ton overhead bridge crane, two arms vaults and an exterior concrete hardstand comprising 480,000 SF for military equipment parking; and construction of a 75,000 SF company operations facility with four arms vaults, caged storage and TA-50 lockers; and construction of a 50,000 SF battalion headquarters building with training rooms, conference rooms, administrative open office space, fixed offices, and a laboratory.
