We’re loving the new Meet the Team Monday post series on social media where we can introduce you to new staff and get to know our existing team. So we thought it’d be nice to round up all the staff featured each month in a blog post to have on our site. We hope you enjoy learning more about our team too!
Get to Know Garco: Meet the Team Monday!
KIRSTEN DAILEY – PROJECT ENGINEER
She recently joined Garco as a project engineer and will be working on the Shadle Branch Library Renovation in Spokane, WA. Kirsten has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Fresno State. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the architecture and construction industry. She says, “I’m excited about my new role at Garco and being a part of a company with a great reputation in the industry.” In her free time, Kirsten has many fun hobbies and interests! Some of her favorites are trap and skeet shooting, sewing, gardening, and volunteering at Kootenai Hospital. She enjoys spending time with her husband Ben (who also works in the industry as a civil/structural engineer) and their 9-year-old German Shepherd named Blitz, and three kitties. We’re glad you’re part of the team Kirsten!
MICEAL TAYLOR – PROJECT ENGINEER
He recently joined Garco as a project engineer and will be working on the Ballou Junior High School project in Puyallup, WA. Miceal has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and has been working in the construction industry for a couple years gaining valuable experience. In his free time, Miceal enjoys baseball, mountain biking, camping and hiking … pretty much anything outdoors! We’re so glad to have you as part of the team Miceal!
KELSEY HUMMEL – ACCOUNTING & HR GENERALIST
She works in the Spokane office as an accounting/HR generalist. Kelsey joined Garco last year and she says, “I love the people here. From the day I started, I have felt so welcome and included by everyone. I also love being able to drive around the Spokane area and see our work everywhere I go. I take pride in telling friends and family that I get to work at Garco.” Well, we’re glad you’re part of the team Kelsey!
Kelsey was born in Palo Alto, CA, but grew up in the Seattle area and then came to this side of the state to go to Eastern Washington University. She is a proud EWU alum! In her free time she likes to be outside, whether it’s on her porch, boating, at the beach, or on a patio somewhere. She says, “My favorite place to be is in the sunshine!” One interesting fact about Kelsey is that she has one blue eye and one brown eye (that’s called heterochromia!)
CHAD BRINKERHOFF – SITE SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER
He recently joined the Garco team as a Site Safety and Health Officer. He’s currently working out at the Cle Elum Dam Fish Passage project. Chad has an extensive background in safety, and Bachelor of Science Safety Management, CSP, CHST, and is a U.S. Army Veteran. He’s excited to be working on the Cle Elum project and says, “I’m looking forward to seeing this unique project in operation. Sliding the fish through the helical system and out to the river.”
In his free time, Chad enjoys the great outdoors and all that they have to offer … fishing, diving, hiking, hunting, snowboarding, 4x4ing. He loves to travel and experience new cultures and cuisine. Chad was born in Alaska (perhaps this inspired his love for the outdoors!). He recently just got back from a three-month trip exploring New Zealand. He says, “Definitely the most beautiful place I have ever been.” Welcome Chad – we’re glad you’re part of the team!
